There is no denying how beautiful the first few snowfalls can be. But after a few months we all know that it feels like enough is enough. When it comes to snow build up, your roof feels the same way.
Your roof is built to withstand a significant amount of weight, but sometimes after a few too many snow storms the weight becomes too much and it needs to be shoveled off. This will decrease the amount of stress placed on the structure of your roof.
Another pesky problem to watch out for are ice damns. They are a result of snow melting, refreezing and then blocking future melted snow from draining properly from your roof. Eventually all that water has to go somewhere and can cause damage to other areas of your house.
If you notice a snow build up and aren't comfortable climbing on the roof yourself, get in touch and we can take care of the problem for you.
